Oportunidades de negocios para la producción silvopastoril certificada, integrada y sustentable en el centro-norte santafesino

Abstract

Este trabajo pretende analizar la viabilidad técnica, económica y ambiental de un negocio de triple impacto para desarrollar en campos de aptitud ganadera del centro-norte santafesino con posibilidades de capturar valor certificando la producción. El mismo consiste en la combinación de la ganadería bovina de base pastoril con la implantación de bosques cultivados de Eucalyptus spp., generando un “sistema silvopastoril”, para producir carne, madera de calidad y biomasa energética de manera integral, eficiente y sustentable, brindando además importantes beneficios ambientales y bienestar animal, atributos valorados por consumidores que permitiría lograr certificaciones y acceder a mercados diferenciados.

The aim of the present work is to analyze the technical, economical and environmental viability of a triple impact business to be developed in cattle aptitude fields of the central-north region of Santa Fe province with the possibility of capturing value through the product certification. It involves the combination of pasture - based bovine livestock production with the implantation of Eucalyptus spp. cultivated forests, which would generate a "silvopastoral system", to produce meat, quality wood and energy biomass in an integral, efficient and sustainable way, also providing important environmental benefits and animal welfare, attributes valued by consumers that would allow achieving certifications and accessing differentiated markets
