Necesidades de información y conducta informativa de la Red de Huerteras-os de Rosario (provincia de Santa Fe)

Abstract

Este trabajo es un primer acercamiento a las necesidades de información y la conducta informativa de la Red de Huerteras-os de Rosario (Provincia de Santa Fe) para conocer los recursos físicos que necesitan, fuentes de información que conocen y utilizan y las habilidades que tienen para acceder física e intelectualmente a la información. Se emplearon cuestionarios de respuestas fijas con opción a “otros” para conocer a los dos grupos más representativos de esta entidad, el total de los 25 miembros de Técnicos Agrónomos y Promotores y una muestra de 70 Productores (25% de 280 miembros). Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que a los Técnicos Agrónomos y Promotores se les debe recomendar el uso de Bibliotecas Virtuales y Bancos de Datos. Los Productores deben ser advertidos de consultar más de un documento en cada búsqueda, leer todo tipo de índices, usar a las Bibliotecas y Bibliotecarios como fuentes de información y aprender otros idiomas para comprender documentos extranjeros. Si se cubren los recursos físicos y perfeccionan las habilidades que tienen para acceder a la información, se podrán mantener el desarrollo del programa y de la red a través del tiempo.

This work is an approach to the information needs and information behavior of the Red de Huerteras-os de Rosario (Province of Santa Fe) – (Argentina), to know the physical resources they need, sources of information they know and use and the skills they have to access physically and intellectually to the information. Questionnaires of fixed response alternatives with “others” option were used, to know the two most representative groups of this entity: the total of 25 Technical Agronomist and Promoters and an sample of 70 Farmers (25% of 280 members). The obtained results show that Technical Agronomist and Promoters must be recommended to use Virtual Libraries and Data Bank. Farmers must be advertised to consult more than one document in each search, to read all kinds of indexes, consult Libraries and Librarians as source of information and learn foreign languages to understand all types of documents. If the physical resources are covered and their skills are improved the develop of the program and the net can be maintained over time.
