La construcción estatal y el orden social en el área de colonización del centro-oeste santafesino. Los casos de Esperanza y San Carlos entre 1856 y 1890

Abstract

El tema abordado en la tesis es la construcción estatal y el orden social en el área de colonización del centro-oeste santafesino. Para ello, se focaliza el análisis en los casos particulares de las colonias Esperanza y San Carlos sin dejar de tener en cuenta el contexto general de cambios que atravesaron la provincia de Santa Fe y el Estado nacional argentino, ambos en proceso de formación. El marco temporal se justifica por la nueva instancia histórica que se abre a partir de la sanción de la Constitución provincial de 1856, referenciada en la de la Confederación Argentina, y se cierra hacia 1890, cuando gran parte del territorio provincial había sido ocupado con la instalación de un gran número de colonias agrícolas y se había desarrollado el andamiaje político-administrativo del Estado santafesino con el que se hacía más segura la dominación y el desarrollo de determinadas relaciones sociales. Nos preguntamos ¿cuáles fueron las formas y las dinámicas de desarrolló del proceso de construcción estatal en el área de colonización del centro-oeste santafesino durante el período 1856-1890? ¿De qué maneras tuvo lugar ese proceso en los casos de San Carlos y Esperanza? Atento a ello, se privilegiaron indagaciones en torno a la justicia de paz y a las municipalidades como instituciones en torno a las cuales se gestionaron las relaciones sociales, se accionó en función de las normas que se fueron definiendo y promoviendo y se participó en el ejercicio de las formas de control, favoreciendo determinados desarrollos e interviniendo en la construcción del orden social local.

The topic addressed in the thesis is the construction of the state and the social order in the colonization area of central-western Santa Fe. To this end, the analysis is focused on the particular cases of the colonies of Esperanza and San Carlos without neglecting to take into account the general context of changes that the province of Santa Fe and the Argentine national State were going through, both in the process of formation. The time frame is justified by the new historical instance that opened with the sanction of the provincial Constitution of 1856, referenced in that of the Argentine Confederation, and closed around 1890, when a large part of the provincial territory had been occupied with the installation of a large number of agricultural colonies and the political-administrative framework of the Santa Fe State had been developed, making domination and the development of certain social relations more secure. We ask ourselves: What were the forms and dynamics of development of the state construction process in the colonization area of central-western Santa Fe during the period 1856-1890? In what ways did this process take place in the cases of San Carlos and Esperanza? In this regard, inquiries were made about the justice of the peace and the municipalities as institutions around which social relations were managed, action was taken based on the norms that were defined and promoted, and participation was taken in the exercise of the forms of control, favoring certain developments and intervening in the construction of the local social order.
