Summary

Based on two thematic triggers (a story and a film), the present paper tries to help those who direct degree theses, postgraduate theses and, in addition, projects and research work. In this context and given the limited bibliographic references on the matter, it adds ad hoc reflections and experiential contributions, also venturing into complementary aspects liked to that guiding role.
