Order and punishment. Didier Fassin and her study about police and punishment

Abstract

In this text we make a possible tour of two books of the work of Didier Fassin. We refer to The forces of order An ethnography of police action in the urban peripheries and Punish. A contemporary passion. Beyond the different approaches assumed in each one of them, we set out to address them together in order to see some elements that we find interesting to enrich the view of those who, from the social sciences, propose to study the punishment and actions of the security forces.
