«Poner el cuerpo»: meniangs quired by university in a «women ́s» prisión in Córdoba

Abstract

This article emerges from a bigger ethnography with gender perspective, which was made in Córdoba city, Argentina between 2009 and 2012. It involves a complex issue: How to implement the right to university education for women in prison. The research shows the existence of a bio-power in the total institution which produces, through penitentiary technologies like education, bodies that matter and bodies that don ́t.
