Desenvolvimento de um meio de cultura de baixo custo para a produção de biomassa potencialmente probiótica para frangos de corte

Resumo

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar diferentes meios de cultura de baixo custo para produção de biomassa de 3 cepas potencialmente probióticas de L. salivarius, que poderiam ser destinadas a frangos de corte em granjas. Para isso, foram avaliadas diferentes formulações à base de permeado de soro de queijo (WP) suplementado com fontes de nitrogênio: extrato de levedura (YE) e hidrolisado de soro de leite (WH) e MnSO4.H2O (Mn), MgSO4.7H2O (Mg). O crescimento das cepas nessas formulações e o custo econômico foram comparados com o crescimento e custo no meio de cultura comercial (MRS). L. salivarius DSPV008P não cresceu adequadamente em nenhum dos meios avaliados. Por outro lado, a adição de YE e Mn ao meio melhorou o desenvolvimento microbiano de L. salivarius DSPV002P e L. salivarius DPSV011P. A adição de WH e Mg teve efeito positivo apenas no aumento da biomassa de L. salivarius DSPV002P. L. salivarius DSPV011P foi a única cepa que desenvolveu a mesma quantidade de biomassa em MRS e no meio selecionado WP + YE 8 g / L + Mn. L. salivarius DSPV011P atingiu um desenvolvimento de biomassa de 9,22 Log (UFC / ml) no meio selecionado com um custo econômico 12 vezes menor do que em MRS. Embora o efeito dos suplementos adicionados ao meio de cultura sobre os parâmetros cinéticos dependa da cepa, L. salivarius DSPV011P é a cepa com as melhores características tecnológicas, capaz de crescer em meio a base de um subproduto da indústria de laticínios suplementado com YE e Mn e com um custo muito menor do que em MRS.
