Despite an apparent summary, thematic and epistemic clarity that seems to characterize it in terms of recipients, interests, universes of circulation, the magazine of Instituto Superior de Música de la UNL can be seen inside of the heterogeneous corpus of «music magazines» In this kind of multiform territory, publications of different origins coexist (academic, non–academic institutional–such as theaters, independent, loosely associated with cultural management groups); by themes («musical genres»); by recipient (age groups, followers of – again – a certain musical «genre» and others.
In the more restricted field of academic journals, we find several differences can also be found, both between journals and within some of them. In this perspective, the Revista del ISM, going through 35 years of existence, allows us to observe certain aspects of its discursive and content construction.
What topics appeared and appear in your indexes? Are there constants in the summaries present throughout their history? What and how do we «talk» about it in our magazine? Is it possible to «read» some historical, contingencies in it?
Through the survey of different issues of the Revista del ISM, this work proposes to review the meanings that the works and authors construct, as an identity always in movement, in progress, in discussion.
