Within the framework of the celebration of the 50 years of history of secondary education for adults in the province of Santa Fe, and the fiftieth anniversary of the Secondary Education School for Adults (EEMPA) N° 1218 Nativas del Salado in the city of Santo Tomé, this experience report describes the evolution of the imposition of the school name and explains the fundamentals of the selection of it. The project made it possible to consolidate senses of belonging and institutional identity, according to the era which it is part of, taking into account two dimensions: the historiographical and historical–political of education, and the sociocultural and geographical aspects of Santo Tomé. Both dimensions are crossed by gender perspectives and human rights as axes of Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE), assumed by the school in its institutional project.
