Domare en las Geórgicas de Virgilio: análisis léxico y semántico

Abstract

In this paper we analyze the different realizations of the verb domare in Virgil’s Georgics. For this, we apply, along with the philological study, the verbal lexematic approach developed by B. Garcia-Hernández (1980). Once we take due account of the semantic values of the lexeme registered until the work publication, we focus on studying them in the Georgics, so as to specify not only the selection of semes used in the work, but also to verify the existence of semantic shifts of the lexeme as well.
