Internación de pacientes con ideación suicida

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio para obtener la prevalencia de internación en pacientes con ideación suicida que asisten a la guardia del Sanatorio La Merced y determinar los principales factores que con más frecuencia inciden en estas consultas por conductas suicidas. Se aplicó un diseno no experimental, retrospectivo, descriptivo, y de corte transversal. El ámbito elegido fue el psiquiátrico La Merced, en la ciudad de Santa Fe, a lo largo del año 2011. La poblacion quedó conformada por 100 pacientes, de ambos sexos, mayores de 18 años de edad, que presentaban ideación suicida. Se operan variables como sexo, estación del año, método de utilizacion y pasaje al acto. La idea suicida fue del 80% en sexo femenino, y del 20% en sexo masculino. En cuanto al pasaje al acto, el 20% consultó luego de haberlo concretado. El 80% restante solo transcurre en ideación. Según la estacion del año, la primavera se destaca con 34 pacientes que consultan en esa época. El modo de pasaje al acto más frecuente es la ingesta de psicofármacos, para ambos sexos. Del 100% de las consultas, el 87% accede a la internación y el 13% se niega a internarse. Del analisis de resultados del estudio, se deduce que las consultas por intento de suicidio en el Sanatorio la Merced de la ciudad de Santa Fe, tienen una prevalencia similar a la de otros países, siendo la intención de suicidio mayor en sexo femenino, mientras que en el sexo masculino se encontró mayor porcentaje de pasaje al acto. Se comprobó que el método más empleado es la ingesta de psicofármacos, y la estación del año más afectada la primavera.

A study was conducted to obtain the prevalence of hospitalization in patients with suicidal ideation who attend the La Merced sanatorium ward and determine the main factors that are most frequently affecting these consultations due to suicidal behavior. A non-experimental, retrospective, descriptive, cross-sectional design was applied. The scope is in the psychiatric sanatorium La Merced, in the city of Santa Fe, throughout the year 2011. The population was made up of 100 patients, of both sexes, over 18 years of age, who presented suicidal ideation. Variables are operated such as: sex, season of the year, method of use and passage to the act. Results: The suicidal idea was 80% in the female sex, and 20% in the male sex. As for the passage to the act, 20% consulted after having specified it. The remaining 80% only happens in ideation. According to the season of the year, spring stands out with 34 patients who consulted at that time. The mode of passage to the most frequent act is the ingestion of psychopharmaceuticals, for both sexes. Of 100% of the consultations, 87% access the hospitalization and 13% refuse to intern. From the analysis of the results of the study, it can be deduced, that the consultations for attempted suicide, in sanatorium La Merced of the city of Santa Fe, hace a prevalence similar to that of other countries, being the intention of suicide greater in sex feminine, whereas in the masculine sex a greater percentage of passage was found to the act. It was found that the most used method is the ingestion of psychopharmaceuticals, and the season of the year most affected the spring.
