Análisis de heridas por arma de fuego ingresadas en el Hospital Provincial Centenario de la ciudad de Rosario, en el período de 6/2017 al 12/2017

Abstract

Las cifras de herida de arma de fuego surgidas de datos oficiales provistos por los registros de los libros de ingresos del Hospital Provincial del Centenario, de la ciudad de Rosario, afianzan una tendencia que no detiene su alza. Objetivos: investigar los ingresos por herida de arma de fuego en el Hospital Provincial del Centenario, durante el período del 6/2017 – 12/2017; analizar los datos recabados desde el punto médico-legal con el fin de orientar al ciudadano comprometido, al profesional idóneo y a las autoridades competentes sobre esta problemática. Material y métodos: la información se obtuvo de los libros de ingreso del Hospital Provincial del Centenario, de la ciudad de Rosario, seleccionando los casos relacionados con herida de arma de fuego. Luego se procedió a la evaluación de los datos reportados. Completada la toma de las variables, se procedió a pasarlos a formato digital. Fueron analizados un total de 94 casos. Resultados principales: los resultados obtenidos abarcan el período 6/2017 al 12/2017 e identifican los grupos etáreos de los accidentados, sexo, estado civil, nacionalidad, actividad laboral, sitio de las lesiones y gravedad de las mismas, incluyendo la muerte. También se evalúa el mapa del delito separado por Distritos Municipales (georeferencia), indicando las zonas más afectadas por violencia armada. Se puede afirmar que el incremento de heridos por arma de fuego es una de las problemáticas sociales que impacta en el proceso Salud-Enfermedad-Atención, incrementando significativamente el gasto económico del sector salud.

The numbers of gunshot wounds, which arise from official data provided by the records of the income books of the Provincial Hospital of the Centennial, of the city of Rosario, support a trend that does not stop its rise. Objectives: To investigate the events that occurred in the city of Rosario and its area of influence, admitted to the Centennial Provincial Hospital, exclusively during the period from 6/2017 to 12/2017, due to firearm injuries. Analyze the data collected from the medical-legal point in order to guide the committed citizen, the appropriate professional and the competent authorities on the problem of accidents due to firearm injuries. Material and methods: The information was obtained from the entrance books of the Provincial Hospital of the Centennial, of the city of Rosario, segregating all those cases related to firearm wound. Then we proceeded to the evaluation of the reported data. Once the variables were taken, they were transferred to digital format. A total of 94 cases were analyzed. Main Results: The results arrived during the period 6/2017 to 12/2017, identifying the age groups of the victims, sex, marital status, nationality, work activity, the site of the injuries, severity of the same, including the death. Evaluation of the crime map separated by Municipal Districts (georeferencing), indicating the areas most affected by armed violence. It can be affirmed that the increase of wounded by firearms is one of the social problems that impacts on the Health-Disease-Care process, significantly increasing the economic cost of the health sector.
