Rol trófico de los crustáceos decápodos dulciacuícolas: buscando respuestas desde una perspectiva fisiológica

Abstract

Se describen y analizan las estrategias tróficas de Macrobrachium borellii y Aegla uruguayana. La organi-zación de esta tesis consta de cuatro capítulos. En primer lugar, se analizó el perfil metabólico de estos decápodos en el medio natural en tres tejidos diferentes (hemolinfa, hepatopáncreas y músculo) y sus variaciones en términos de estacionalidad y ontogenia. Las mediciones reflejan el uso y los requisitos de los nutrientes por parte de la especie, indicando la dinámica de las comunidades y sus entornos. En el segundo capítulo, se caracterizaron y describieron las actividades enzimáticas digestivas (lipasas, proteinasas totales y amilasas) en organismos del ambiente natural, según el sexo y las diferentes tallas. Los resultados obtenidos podrían evidenciar diferentes estrategias de utilización de recursos. En el tercer capítulo, se evaluó la digestibilidad de las dietas artificiales y su efecto sobre el perfil metabólico y la actividad enzimática en A. uruguayana. Se utilizaron tres tipos de dietas, con diferentes proporciones proteína:celulosa (D1 = 60:0, D2 = 45:15 y D3 = 30:30). Las proteínas fueron los nutrientes más digeridos para las tres dietas examinadas, independientemente de la proporción en que estuvieran presentes. No hubo efecto de la dieta sobre las actividades de las lipasas y la proteinasa total, excepto para las amilasas. Se encontraron efectos en la glucosa (hemolinfa) y glucógeno (músculo). Finalmente, el capítulo 4 discute las implicancias generales de esta tesis y también delinea las principales perspectivas que podrían analizarse en el futuro para complementar y enriquecer los aspectos aquí estudiados.

The objective is to describe and analyze the trophic strategies of two species of decapod crusta-ceans: Macrobrachium borellii and Aegla uruguayana from a physiological perspective. The organization of this thesis consists of four chapters. In the first place, the metabolic profile of these decapods in the natural environment was analyzed in three different tissues (hemolymph, hepatopancreas and muscle) and their variations in terms of seasonality and ontogeny. The measurements reflect the use and requirements of the nutrients by the species, indicating the dynamics of the communities and their environments. In the second chapter, digestive enzymatic activities (lipases, total proteinase and amylases) were characterized and described in organisms from the natural environment, according to sex and the different sizes. The results obtained could be evidencing different strategies of resource utilization. In the third chapter, the digestibility of artificial diets and their effect on the metabolic profile and enzymatic activity in A. uruguayana were evaluated. Three types of pellets were used, with different protein:cellulose ratios (D1=60:0, D2=45:15 and D3=30:30). The proteins were the most digested nutrients for the three diets examined, regardless of the proportion in which they were present. There was no effect of the diet on the activities of lipases and total proteinase, but for the amylases. Dietary effects was found in glucose (hemolymph) and glycogen (muscle). Finally, chapter 4 discusses the general implications of this thesis and also delineates the main perspectives that could be analyzed in the future in order to complement and enrich the aspects here studied.
