Arquitectura pública en la historia reciente de la ciudad de Santa Fe. Registro de temas y problemas en los primeros veinte años del siglo XXI.

Abstract

El proyecto tiene como fin investigar la historia reciente de la arquitectura pública y su contexto de producción, tomando como caso de estudio a las propuestas realizadas desde la órbita estatal (nacional, provincial y municipal) para la ciudad de Santa Fe en los primeros veinte años del siglo XXI. El recorte temporal de la investigación inicia con la crisis del año 2001 que constituyó un punto de inflexión para la historia argentina contemporánea, visibilizando transformaciones socio-políticas, institucionales y culturales que constituyen la plataforma para el estudio del pasado próximo como Historia Reciente. Desde este contexto, el proyecto busca registrar el devenir actual de la arquitectura como asunto de Estado, identificando los temas y los problemas que conforman la agenda pública de la arquitectura en la ciudad de Santa Fe. Interesa indagar en los modos de pensar, gestionar y producir el proyecto de arquitectura desde las actuales estructuras y funcionamiento del Estado, haciendo foco en aquellas obras que posicionen a la Arquitectura como vehículo de representación, pero también como herramienta eficaz para la transformación de la imagen de una ciudad de escala intermedia y capital de provincia. Con el fin de identificar y analizar las características de la arquitectura pública reciente en la ciudad, interesan particularmente aquellas operaciones proyectuales que recuperan piezas arquitectónicas o sectores urbanos de valor histórico cuya reconversión funcional instala una nueva dimensión temporal -sostenible- para la arquitectura pública, ampliando su rol y trascendencia social. Para abordar este entramado problemático, este proyecto conforma un equipo interdisciplinario que reúne profesionales de la arquitectura, la historia y el diseño gráfico.

The project aims to investigate the recent history of public architecture and its production context, taking as a case study the proposals made from the state orbit (national, provincial and municipal) for the city of Santa Fe in the first twenty years of the 21st century. The temporary cutting of the research begins with the crisis of 2001 that constituted a turning point for contemporary Argentine history, making visible socio-political, institutional and cultural transformations that constitute the platform for the study of the near past as Recent History. From this context, the project seeks to record the current evolution of architecture as a matter of State, identifying the issues and problems that make up the public agenda of architecture in the city of Santa Fe. It is interesting to investigate the ways of thinking, managing and producing the architecture project from the current structures and functioning of the State, focusing on those works that position Architecture as a vehicle of representation, but also as an effective tool for the transformation of the image of an intermediate-scale city and provincial capital.In order to identify and analyze the characteristics of the recent public architecture in the city, those project operations that recover architectural pieces or urban sectors of historical value whose functional reconversion installs a new temporary dimension -sustainable- for public architecture, are particularly interested. Role and social significance. To address this problematic framework, this project forms an interdisciplinary team that brings together professionals from architecture, history and graphic design.
