The University Extension Project (UEP) of the National University of Quilmes was launched in 2015 to promote youth employability through the development of soft skills. Over nearly a decade, the UEP has evolved in phases, consolidating pedagogical tools such as experiential workshops and the «Usina de Ideas» while integrating university students into real–life formative processes. Its actions have expanded territorially, in partnership with technical schools, labor unions, ministerial programs, and international initiatives like CopArte. During the pandemic, the UEP adapted to virtual formats, maintaining its critical and context–based approach. This experience illustrates how university extension can foster meaningful learning, build citizenship, and bridge academic training with local contexts and the world of work. Through participatory and collaborative methodologies, the project has promoted labor inclusion and the development of transversal skills, contributing to the formation of critical, empathetic, and socially engaged individuals.
