The quality of educational practice at the university level. A case study with a focus on the activity system

To analyze the configuration of good educational practices as a notion of transformation of quality at the university level, qualitative research with a descriptive-explanatory approach and a case study design was carried out, using the techniques of class observation and interviews with teachers and students. from a private Argentine university with an explicit pedagogical orientation in its institutional project. The theoretical focus of the study was based on the Activity Theory and the ecological approach to educational practice. In the classroom system that configures a quality educational practice, students and teachers are involved in a formative process characterized by the sociocultural exchange of expectations, experiences, attitudes and knowledge around a consensual object and transformed through their interactions into a product that evidence learning outcomes.
