The literature on electronic government focused on public services from the supply side. However, the citizens’ perspective has received limited attention. This paper explores the electronic government adoption from the citizens’ perspective. The objective of this study is addressing how involved are citizens from the Bahía Blanca city in e–government (mediated by the municipal website). Besides, it examines the subjective factors that could explain such e–government level. To achieve these goals, an online survey conducted to a group of local citizens, the followers of’ «Moderniza Bahía» Facebook. In this vein, we could obtain a representative sample of the population by using a sample from a finite population. Results obtained shows that higher levels of awareness, expected benefits and trust on e–government can explain higher levels of e–government adoption.
