Abstract

The book Extension University: trajectories and challenges of the friend Professor Sandra de Deus is a great contribution to all extension workers. His struggle and passion for University Extension are evident. The text reflects the organization of the manuscripts of his lectures or other publications and allows us to delve into thoughts and proposals that pose challenges to university extension regarding its importance in the social function of higher education institutions in Brazil. The work leads to reflections on the theme, which undoubtedly is the reference of a life of dedication and perception of an integrating and dialogic University, in an exercise of continuous exchange. Where each topic covered allows us to recall the personal and collective struggle of people connected and interconnected with the emotions of thinking and walking with perseverance, this path with all its obstacles.
