Abstract

Social and Solidarity Economy. Mapping, experiences and policies in Santa Fe and Reconquista explores the results of the research "Mapping, characterizing and interaction of Social and Solidarity Economy actors in the local governments of Santa Fe, Reconquista and Rosario". Along the lines of the book, it addresses the issue of portraying three main subjects on the field of study: workers' cooperatives, social entrepreneurships and rural experiences in Santa Fe and Reconquista, two key cities, since they condense a great number of these forms of organization. The three of them are approached by spaces (Social Economy Entrepreneurs’ Centre), organizations (Entrepreneurs of Reconquista’s Association, Surcos Foundation), trading means (street markets, virtual shops) and policies, in order to provide an input to future researches. From a comparative and lengthwise view, the applied method and the seized theory are an expression of the objectives defined. The text entirely analyzes the becoming of an alternative economy.
