Review / Communication and Chagas. Basis for an urgent dialogue

Abstract

It is a compilation of reflections and recommendations that emerged, in Argentina, from the organization of the 1st Conversation on Communication and Chagas (April 14, 2020), among members of the Group What are we talking about when we talk about Chagas?, the National Program of Chagas from the Ministry of Health of the Nation and the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, together with a diversity of social actors from different parts of the country and abroad.
This book aims to be a key tool to achieve a change in the social perception of Chagas, with the aim that more and more voices speak of the subject from critical, contextualized and multidimensional perspectives. Likewise, it constitutes a reference material for all those people interested in and/or linked to this problem, regardless of the field or discipline of approach and the context where this link takes place. In particular, the university extension is a key scenario, due to the dialogues that it enables between actors and diverse knowledge.
