The university extension in emergencies. Think and work with communities in pandemic contexts from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral

Abstract

This section presents the extension strategies of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina, facing the context of a pandemic.
From taking as background the university work carried out in other critical moments such as the floods that the city of Santa Fe suffered during the years 2003 and 2007, the teachings and learning that took place in those conditions are highlighted.
In the current scenario, on the other hand, in which the risk became contact with the other, the challenge for university extension is to find ways of working in the territory, that is, with organizations and the community, without affecting the quarantine.
The article defines a series of actions that can be grouped from four levels: academic, healthcare, preventive and cultural.
