The book that is reviewed is a collective work compiled by Ruth Muñóz and Erika Loritz that is in charge of deepening the studies about the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS), investigating various experiences that take shape in Latin America. Constituting itself as a great research production, this writing is a call to reflection that provokes a focus on the plurality of forms that the economy can acquire, betting on its social and solidarity character. In addition, it consists of a contribution to continue traveling the intense and enriching path of construction of another economy and, therefore, of another society. The principles, institutions and conflicting practices and discussion in the sense of the SSE are the common thread of the work that goes through the analysis of agents, actors and subjects who put into play all their capacities and dreams to continue demonstrating that an economy Alternative is possible and necessary as a means of achieving the expanded reproduction of life, beyond survival.
