Consequências reprodutivas e de saúde de abortos bovinos na bacia leiteira do Valle de Lerma, Salta, Argentina

Com o objetivo de investigar os efeitos do aborto bovino na bacia leiteira do Vale do Lerma, foram estudados os registros de dados de 128 vacas leiteiras da raça Holandesa obtidos em software de 4 fazendas leiteiras. Os abortos foram classificados em: vacas abortadas, reinseminadas que continuam em lactação (VAC, n = 36) e vacas que abortaram e iniciaram uma nova lactação (VAI, n = 33), além dos registros de vacas com partos normais ( NPV, n = 59). Os litros de leite aos 305 dias de lactação (L / 305), os dias de lactação (DEL), os intervalos entre partos (IPP), o número de eventos de saúde que ocorreram após o aborto e o destino final dos animais (continua em leite, descarte, morte ou sacrifício). As variáveis contínuas foram submetidas à análise de variância em modelo linear misto e as discretas ao teste Qui-quadrado e Odds Ratio (OR). Não foram encontradas diferenças entre os litros de leite produzidos (L / 305) pelas vacas NPV (8640 l) e o VAC (8.498 l) mas houve (p <0,0001) entre estes e o grupo VAI (5742), considerando as vacas de diferente número de lactações e o tempo gestacional do aborto. O grupo VAC teve DEL (p <0,0001) e PPI (p <0,0001) respectivamente mais longos (639,7 e 441,2 d.) Do que as vacas VAI (419,9 e 404,2 d.) E NPV (405,5 e 476,7 d.). As vacas abortadas (VAC + VAI) tiveram maior (p <0,0001) probabilidade de contrair, respectivamente, distúrbios sanitários e reprodutivos (OR = 6,5, IC 3,2 - 24,3) e descartes mais mortes / abate (OR = 6,72, IC 2,9- 15.1) em comparação com o NPV. Esses resultados mostram os graves efeitos do aborto no desempenho produtivo e na saúde das vacas leiteiras.Referências
