In Argentina, teaching has been the point of arrival of multiple images. Thus, it has become a reason for dispute between forces that have sought to fix it to certain meanings. From this perspective, this essay aims at recovering the theoretical-political discussion in which the different categories that have been historically used to refer to teaching in the Argentine context are inserted: vocation, profession, work and trade.
