About the magazine

ARQUISUR Revista is a publication with international arbitration of the Association of Public Schools and Faculties of Architecture of South America (Arquisur). It was born in 2010 with the objective of disseminating the scientific and research activities of the member institutions of the Association. It has an Editorial Committee, an international Scientific Committee and a Technical Editorial Management. 

ARQUISUR Revista is published in electronic version on a semi-annual basis, in the second half of June and December. Its official languages ​​are Spanish and Portuguese and includes a summary in English.

The publication adheres to open access policies. It is free for authors and readers, indexed and refereed by a double-blind system by external peer reviewers. It is aimed at academics and a public interested in the topics of architecture, urban planning and related subjects.

As can be seen from the San Juan Document, the founding text of the magazine, the presentation of articles is guided by the following thematic axes:

  • Architecture project.
  • Sustainability and technology.
  • History of architecture, city and urban planning.
  • Teaching of project disciplines.
  • City and territory.
  • Form and communication.

Publication conditions

The nominated articles must be original and unpublished, and must not have been previously published, nor must they be simultaneously nominated for publication in other journals or editorial bodies.

The official languages ​​of the magazine are Spanish and Portuguese. The submitted articles can be written and presented in either of the two languages, with the addition of a summary in the source language and an abstract in English. See Rules for Authors in this link.

 Article Arbitration Process

The publication performs a review of articles by peer experts in the same field of study of the articles presented, according to the procedure known as Double-blind review, in accordance with which the evaluators and the authors do not know each other, preserving both anonymity and confidentiality throughout the editorial process.

The estimated time for the evaluation process is 60 days counting from the moment of application. ARQUISUR Revista is published in electronic version on a semi-annual basis, in the second half of June and December.

ARQUISUR Revista is a non-profit publication. It does not impose financial charges for the reception, review, evaluation or publication services nor access to its contents. It does not receive advertising and does not receive financial benefits. It is auto-financed with Arquisur's resources and with the institutional, technical and editorial support of the National University of the Litoral (UNL).
