Portrait and construction of social memory in the early Rosario de Santa Fe

The designated city of Rosario since 1852 was diversify ing and increasing its population especially since 1860. This generated new territorial and social boundaries; the latter built with symbolic-material joints. We ropose to investigate in one of them, in the portrait as a mnemonic record for the legitimization of the social place that the subjects began to occupy in the new social dynamics of the city that configured new social frameworks.
