Abstract

The following work aims to describe and analyze the “Cenotafio a los caídos en
Malvinas” (Cenotaph to the Fallen in Malvinas), located in “Parque Nacional a la
Bandera” (National Flag Park) in the city of Rosario. This space was erected
with multiple intentions: it is a site thought from an ideological but also aesthetic
perspective. It is a place of memory, homage and national identity. At the same
time, it is a work of art and, additionally, a meeting and congregation place.
Different aspects were intertwined in this Cenotaph, giving it complexity and
richness.
