This paper analyzes the phases of the work Tiras por la Paz by the artist Raúl Armando Amorós Hormazábal (1982-) carried out on the Mundaiz bridge located in the city of Donostia-San Sebastián on the occasion of the artistic-cultural event European Capital of Culture 2016. From Peter Dunn's perspective, it is necessary to operate and move as a «context provider» rather than a «content provider» (Grant, 2003), to develop the culture of encounter through collective constructions, debates or artistic practices for peaceful coexistence with the social environment. These premises contain the objective of the study and the experiences that revolved around our project and that allowed us to confirm our initial hypotheses about the interdisciplinarity of site-specific in public space and artistic didactics in the permanent construction of concepts such as peace or war. Thus, direct citizen participation becomes a transformative part of contemporary processes and manages to propose a novel visual grammar capable of being shaped by our contemporary cultural perception.
