Yam innovation system in Montes de María, Colombia.

To analyze the relationship of the actors as a territorial system of innovation of the Public-Private Alliance (PPA) of yam (Dioscorea spp) in the Montes de María subregion, a non-probabilistic demonstration was carried out in 2019 to apply surveys and map innovation networks. The results showed that international cooperation plays a key role in the integration of the actors of the territorial innovation system studied, while support institutions could acquire a more active role to strengthen technology transfer processes with local communities, to promote co-innovation. The foregoing will allow the improvement of self-management of tacit and explicit knowledge in the value chain for competitive increase, sustainability and adaptability of the system to changes in the environment.
