Teaching ancient history during the pandemic: reflections and challenges

Covid–19 pandemic and the suspension of face–to–face classes in March 2020 faced us with an unprecedented challenge: teach History from virtuality. In our case, this meant rethinking and reorganizing the teaching of Ancient History in a context unknown.
Our classes take place in the first year of History courses. In the classroom we usually face different didactic challenges, but how many of them (and which ones) were we faced when the classrooms moved to our homes? In this paper we want to reflect on the challenges of teaching Ancient History at the university from our experience during 2020 and 2021.
