In the present article we socialize some of the methodological strategies we used to study audiovisual consumption in the 60s in three cities of the province of Entre Ríos, in Argentina. In our reflections we present the results of the research carried out in the cities of La Paz (located on the coast of the Paraná River), Gualeguay (in the south-central region of the province, on the left bank of the homonymous river) and Colón (on the Uruguay river bordering República Oriental del Uruguay and next to the city of Paysandú). We will refer to the ways in which we oriented the fieldwork based on techniques such as interviews with residents over 65 years old from the mentioned locations- spectators of the time and workers linked to the projection rooms; identification and construction of documentary sources, direct observation of movie theaters today. Particularly we will deal with aspects related to the ways in which cinema attendance is intertwined with life forms of the time in the locations studied, as well as the coverage of the cinematographic medium in the local press.
