University extension and teacher training must transcend barriers to promote an emancipatory perspective. It is essential to integrate the triad of research, teaching and extension, in order to develop work that materializes in praxis. The work "Epistemology of university extension: counterhegemonic constructs" by Andréa Kochhann is key to understanding the practice of university extension in academic training, which can be manifested through an epistemology of critical praxis. This favors the constructs of omnilateral emancipation, based on dialectical historical materialism, through the curriculum of a counterhegemonic pedagogy.
In four chapters, the author outlines the paths that allow the reader to understand how extension and training can be at the service of counterhegemonic action.
