Abstract

We interviewed Melina Seldes, an artist who is dedicated to training, understood as personal development. The interview includes a presentation of the interviewee, a characterization of the processes she accompanies, based on the metaphor of the journey through a labyrinth, which allows each person to be the interpreter of his or her own life. Particularly, she describes the Release practice on which she relies, the difficulties encountered by those who practice it and the way in which she positions herself to carry out this accompaniment, through the image of "edge". She refers to the way in which she came to shape that role by “letting go” and giving rise to the uniqueness of each being, performing within herself the process she seeks to accompany in others. She refers to her own difficulties in that construction and the way in which she fine-tuned her own listening to become an interpreter. She concludes by referring to the contributions that being an interpreter could represent for a trainer, in the way she understands the concept.

María Soledad Manrique es Licenciada y Doctora en Ciencias de la Educación (UBA), Psicodramatista y Gestaltista, Diplomada en Psicoanálisis y Prácticas Socioeducativas (FLACSO) y Maestranda en Danza Movimiento Terapia (UNA). Preocupada por el movimiento como transformación en todas sus dimensiones, en personas que acompañan el desarrollo de otras y por los dispositivos que permiten acompañarlos, se desempeña profesionalmente como Investigadora Adjunta en el CONICET, como docente en la FFyL (UBA) y como coordinadora de grupos psicodramáticos y de Danza Movimiento Terapia dentro del sistema de salud. Autora de numerosas publicaciones desde el 2005.
