Volume 13 of +E intends to put the discussion on theoretical conceptions and practical definitions around the integrality of substantive functions and their implications in university models at the center of the scene. It invites you to read the tensions, conflicts and potentialities that this integration entails. To understand how power plays and is rearticulated in these decisions that involve —nothing more and nothing less— the ways of conceiving universities, of producing and validating academic knowledge, of training professionals, of teaching and learning, of researching and of link with the community and the problems of the region.
